As part of this journey, we require a Senior Technologist who can evolve our API centric approach into an extendable and reusable Platform approach.
We think of this Associate Director, Technology Delivery role as a mash-up of a Technical Product Owner, SCRUM Master, and Conceptual Architect who can define the direction and priority for Platform delivery Pods.
Our vision is that the Associate Director, Technology Delivery and their Pods should be empowered and autonomous to drive production changes, with broader support from shared services teams such as Dev Ops & Release Management, Infrastructure & Operations, Platform Admins, and Security teams.In partnership with Business Leads, Dev Managers, Project Managers, and API Consumers, the Associate Director, Technology Delivery will drive multiple teams to complete discovery & planning (initiation, scoping and planning), design & build Sprints, solution testing/hardening, Releases to production, and ongoing build-measure-learn releases.As the lead Technology PO across multiple Digital Platform Pods, the Associate Director, Technology Delivery will prioritize platform capabilities and champion the Sprint & Release roadmap.
This role requires product-centric expertise to hypothesize on platform needs, propose conceptual solutions, and validate hypotheses.
A critical success factor for this role is the build, grow and manage an API Developer ecosystem.
With vast experience in working with CRMs.In Partnership with other core leads, the Associate Director, Technology Delivery will provide status updates based on delivery progress, velocity/trends, quality, RAID, impediments, KPIs and measurable business value.
Tailor the Bank's delivery methodology to meet objectives, and ensure a consistent flow of work across cross-functional Pod team members.The Core Responsibilities!Manage the Platform & API roadmap, business priorities and investment trade-offs.
Hypothesize, test and validate platform opportunities.
Collaborate with Sponsor, Technology Directors and Business Leads to create extendable and reusable conceptual architectures for APIs and MicroServicesAs a Technology PO for platform APIs, ensure comprehensive security designs to manage and mitigate Cybersecurity risksPartner with Core Leads to identify scope, user experiences and prioritize delivery via MVP/Release plan.
Tailor delivery approach as requiredCreate, manage and execute a platform / ecosystem strategy to increase API adoption and developer effectiveness across consumers.
Establish ongoing Governance to monitor effectiveness and business valueIn cases where platform functionality is Technical in nature (e.g.
OAUTH2 API Registration & Consumption, API Throttling, API billing, etc.) conduct UAT as the Technical Product Owner Facilitate and contribute to Agile ceremonies, including story-point estimation, sprint grooming, retrospectives, etcCoordinate with and across shared service teams, such as Dev Ops, Infrastructure, Sec Ops, and AMS to release changes to production Let's Talk About You!Minimum of 10+ years in technology delivery roles such as Product Manager/Product Owner, Dev Manager, Architect, SCRUM Manager, and Consulting (Integration and/or Delivery) rolesPost-secondary degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical degree or equivalent experience is required5+ years of experience in Financial Services, with deep domain knowledge in Lending and/or Online Retail BankingExperience or familiarity with Open APIs, Technical Product Management, MicroService / Enterprise Service Bus architecture, cloud IaaS / PaaS, and mobile platforms.
Vast experience in working with CRMs.
