Network Field Technician

We are looking to grow the team!

Are you a motivated individual eager to work as part of a dynamic network operations team? Successful applicants will deploy and operate data networks for mid-enterprise clients in Western Canada. You'll have opportunities to work on projects and operational environments.

What type of things will you be doing?

• Deploy, install, and configure network equipment, including routers, switches, access points, and other hardware.

• Conduct equipment refreshes, ensuring that hardware is up to date and compliant with company and client standards.

• Perform equipment patching and ensure proper cabling for optimal network performance.

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues on-site or escalate them to the appropriate team.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient project completion.

• Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and installations.

• Frequent travel to client sites throughout Western Canada is required for this position.

What are our technical requirements for applicants?

• One of the following certifications CCNA, JNCIA-JUNO, JNCIP-ENT, JNCIP-DC, JNCIE-ENT, JNCIE-DC
• Five years of field experience in network discipline
• Experience with equipment installation, structured cabling and fiber and copper test protocols
• Ability to work independently and with a team
• Availability to travel to remote locations throughout Western Canada
• You must be able to work in our office as well as onsite with clients as required
• Excellent command of the English language, French not required
• Highly proficient communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to learn and adapt to changing environments
• Strong troubleshooting skills

Any experience with the following vendors would be an asset:

• Arista Networks
• Aruba Networks
• Cambium
• Checkpoint
• Fortinet
• Juniper
• Ruckus Networks

A few other items we need from applicants:

• Five years with clean driver abstract
• Valid Canadian Drivers License - five years.
• Hold a Canadian driver's license for a minimum of nine years, along with five years of Canadian auto insurance history (Required). Applicants must meet auto insurance provider's qualifications.
• Clear criminal record checks required regularly
• Maintain current certifications, interest in acquiring additional certifications as required and for personal growth

Additional Information

Salary: $65,000 to $90,000 per year
