Estimator (Civil)About this Role:
On behalf of our Calgary based client, we are hiring an Estimator with 2-5 years of experience in civil construction.
Our client has been around for 40+ years and has projects focused in civil construction.
With their headquarters in BC, they are entering a phase of exciting growth and expanding throughout Canada.As the Estimator, you will be responsible for calculating major cost estimates, and you will be involved in the planning, development, negotiation, and contract execution of a project.
You will perform a cost analysis, determine the duration of a project, procure vendors and subcontractors, and ensure that resources are managed, and deadlines are met.Key Responsibilities:
Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overheadEstimate the time and resources required to complete projectsConduct quantity take-offs and perform pricing analysisAssist in the preparation and submission of competitive tenders and bidsReview project plans, specifications, and drawings to ensure completeness and accuracy before submitting estimatesAnalyze and assess the scope of work and potential risks, making recommendations for cost-saving strategiesIdentify potential project risks related to cost, scheduling, and scopeProactively address risk factors by including contingencies and proposing solutionsPerform other related duties as requiredQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field2-5+ years experience as an estimator or in a similar roleExperience in civil construction experience is a mustAbility to work collaboratively with a positive attitudeStrong written and verbal communication skillsWhat We Can Offer You:
Salary range:
