We have built connections with key opinion leaders who are already using the Globe System and are helping to tell our story.
Having completed our global pivotal study and seeking regulatory approvals prior to starting commercial sales, we are now preparing the company to grow rapidly in this exciting market.

As an FP&A Analyst, you will play a key role in analyzing financial data, creating budgets and forecasts, and supporting strategic planning to drive informed business decisions - in short, you will be an important link between finance and operations.
You will also be a key contributor to finance projects that support Kardium's rapid growth and prepare it to be a public, commercial stage company.

This opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of our business model and bridge the gap between day-to-day operations and financial outcomes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
• Conduct detailed variance analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement delivering actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Manage the budgeting process by gathering inputs from budget owners, consolidating and reviewing with management, and updating forecasts throughout the year to deliver accurate, data-driven projects to support decision making and financial management of the business.
• Support key projects to prepare for public company requirements, including GAAP conversion, establishing robust internal controls, and scaling ERP system analytical capabilities to meet future needs.
• Prepare reports and analyses at month and quarter end to communicate financial results to internal stakeholders.
• Provide ad-hoc financial modeling and support financing due diligence needs.
• Support with the development and implementation of robust internal controls in preparation for SOX compliance.

You are suited to our approach and possess these attributes:

• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skill and keen attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with business stakeholders, gather insights, and effectively incorporate them into financial analysis and feedback processes.
• 2+ years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, or a directly related field.
• CFA, CPA or equivalent FP&A designation preferred.
• Experience within Life Sciences or manufacturing industry.
• Experience working with and building complex financial models.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with advanced MS Excel skills.
• Previous experience with FP&A software, i.e.
  Power BI, Tableau or similar.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX 404 compliance are an asset.
• Experience in a public company preferred.

Compensation

Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting.
Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs.
For candidates with more extensive experience than considered above, the pay range may be higher.

As a permanent employee, you will also participate in Kardium's stock option plan.

• $78,000 - $110,000 (CAD Annually)

Total cash - the total cash we've listed for this position includes a base salary, plus a contribution to a Registered Retirement Savings plans (RRSP) to help support your financial goals.
