Tasks

  1. Implement new administrative procedures
  2. Review and evaluate new administrative procedures
  3. Delegate work to office support staff
  4. Establish work priorities and ensure procedures are followed and deadlines are met
  5. Carry out administrative activities of establishment
  6. Administer policies and procedures related to the release of records in processing requests under government access to information and privacy legislation
  7. Assist in the preparation of operating budget and maintain inventory and budgetary controls
  8. Assemble data and prepare periodic and special reports, manuals and correspondence
  9. Perform data entry
  10. Train staff
  11. Oversee and co-ordinate office administrative procedures
  12. Resolve conflict situations
  13. Coach
  14. Monitor and evaluate
  15. Type and proofread correspondence, forms and other documents
  16. Supervise office and volunteer staff
  17. Supervise other workers
  18. Schedule and confirm appointments
  19. Respond to employee questions and complaints
  20. Maintain and manage digital database
  21. Greet people and direct them to contacts or service areas
  22. Establish and implement policies and procedures
  23. Determine and establish office procedures and routines
  24. Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support
  25. Work with minimal supervision
  26. Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
  27. Answer electronic enquiries
  28. Train other workers
  29. Provide customer service
  30. Liaise with management, union officials and HR consultants
  31. Order office supplies and maintain inventory
  32. Arrange travel, related itineraries and make reservations
  33. Work with the marketing department to understand and communicate marketing messages to the field
  34. Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems
  35. Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
