We're looking for a Multimedia Designer who's all about managing specialized work with confidence, precision, and a strong sense of duty. This role focuses on detailed, high-quality tasks like video editing, motion graphics, and graphic design, requiring above-average attention to detail and a commitment to completing work accurately and on time.

This is an on-site position based in our Calgary, AB location (downtown). There is no opportunity for remote or hybrid in this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Video Editing and Motion Graphics

Plan, edit, and produce high-quality videos for marketing campaigns, social media, websites, and presentations.
Create engaging motion graphics and animations using Adobe After Effects to enhance video content.
Add music, sound effects, and visual effects to videos for maximum impact.
Optimize video content for various platforms, ensuring compatibility and high performance.

Graphic Design

Design compelling visuals for digital and print materials, including social media posts, brochures, presentations, and email campaigns.
Utilize Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign to create high-quality, on-brand graphics.
Collaborate with the marketing team to conceptualize and execute design projects that align with campaign goals.

Content Creation and Branding

Maintain a consistent look and feel across all creative content, adhering to brand guidelines.
Develop templates in Canva for social media, internal communications, and marketing use.
Assist in brainstorming sessions to provide creative input and generate innovative ideas.

Collaboration and Project Management

Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, communications, and product teams, to understand project requirements and deliverables.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
Provide regular updates on project progress and incorporate feedback effectively.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Design, Digital Media, or a related field preferred.
At least 1 year of professional experience as a graphic designer or in digital content creation.

Technical Skills

Full proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro).
Advanced skills in Canva, with the ability to design custom templates and content.
Strong understanding of typography, color theory, layout design, and composition.
Knowledge of video and animation workflows, including exporting and optimizing files for different platforms.

Soft Skills

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
A collaborative team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision.
Detail-oriented with a focus on producing error-free, high-quality work.
