Field Performance Technician

The Field Performance Technician position is within the LATAM Service & Construction Academy, which is responsible for providing world-class service to WTGs and clients in the Latin American region.
The LATAM service region consists of countries and three sub-regions with main offices in Mexico City, Santiago, and Sao Paulo.
Latin America is a key growth region for Vestas and has high visibility in the senior management of the company.
The Service & Construction Academy department ensures that all major technical projects are implemented and communicated to customers efficiently and effectively.
In addition to having ownership of all major corrective actions on our turbines, the SC Academy also provides training for the technicians, works to ensure process optimization and risk mitigation, and offers technical resources for communicating technical issues to customers.
Responsibilities:

Be a reference in safety and quality culture.
Guarantee high performance in wind farms.
Train the Vestas technicians in the field.
Lead the wind farms commissioning and develop good practices with the local team.
Develop and commission new tools and solutions.
Attend to the development of uptower repairs in gearboxes, generators, and various mechanical systems of a wind turbine.
Review, repair, and perform predictive maintenance on the main components of a wind turbine.
Locate and correct faults and failures.
Support in complex faults in the area.
Lead major corrections and special tasks.
Execute special projects for clients.
Realize efficiency improvements, cost reduction projects, and operational enhancements.

Qualifications:

Degree in engineering or professional training (Technical level).
Valuable experience in a similar position, particularly in the sectors of mechanics or industrial maintenance.
Ability to work at height and in adverse weather conditions.
Availability to travel outside the work area.
English language skills.
Ability to work in a team and demonstrate leadership.

Competencies:
High adaptation capacity due to last-minute changes caused by weather conditions or urgent task preferences, as well as geographical mobility.
