Role: Portal Developer - Microsoft Power Apps
Locations: Melbourne
Duration: Contract - 6 months

Talent Street is looking for a Portal Developer for one of our Victorian State government clients.

Key Accountabilities:

Managing the implementation of UI components using Liquid Template, HTML, JavaScript and CSS, taking full ownership of the front-end development process.
Customizing portal themes, layouts, and components to ensure a consistent and cohesive user experience across different devices and screen sizes.
Developing forms and workflows within PowerApps portals to capture user input, process requests, and automate business processes.
Develop custom Power App components which can be used across the portal.
Integrate Power Portals with Dataverse, Dynamics 365, and other external systems using APIs and web services.
Configure and manage entities, forms, views, and relationships in Dataverse to support portal operations.
Follow WCAG 2.1 Accessibility standards at a minimum during development.
Ensure adherence to the design system guidelines and standards throughout the project.
Collaborate with D365 specialists to address integration challenges and ensure compatibility.
Take accountability for the quality of UI components, conducting thorough testing and validation.
Address and resolve any issues or bugs identified during testing phases.
Manage and adhere to project timelines for UI development milestones.
Work closely with the design team to enhance and evolve the design system based on project requirements.
Develop front-end code that seamlessly integrates with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
Collaborate with backend developers and D365 experts to ensure a smooth flow of data and functionality.
Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code for optimal performance.
Conduct regular code reviews and optimizations to enhance the overall user experience.
Ensure documentation is accessible and understandable for the broader project team.
Propose innovative solutions and improvements to enhance the overall service transformation project.

Key selection criteria:

Proven experience with Microsoft Power Apps Portals/ Pages and integration of front-end components with Portal. With a minimum of 2 years of experience in related skills.
Proven experience as a Front-End Developer with a strong portfolio showcasing UI development skills and creating reusable components.
Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Liquid Templates and relevant front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
Proven experience with creating and managing Power Apps Flow.
Proven experience in front end development, including CSS, liquid templates and JavaScript.
Proven experience with Dataverse and data modelling.
Knowledge of authentication mechanisms and security roles.
Ability to integrate with external systems using RESTful and SOAP web services.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Familiarity with design systems and the ability to implement and maintain them.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft technologies and development tools.
