As the sovereign provider of combat management systems to the Royal Australian Navy, we are responsible for the development and sustainment of Australia's combat management system capability.

The Opportunity

Our DevOps Engineers are responsible for facilitating the deployment, integration, and automation of software systems to achieve more reliable and faster software delivery.
Working on our predominately Linux-based systems and services, our DevOps Engineers will contribute to the Combat Management System and other product development and tests carried out worldwide.

Our Engineers play a pivotal role in the smooth and efficient development, deployment, and operation of our software systems, while working collaboratively with development, operations, and security teams to automate and streamline processes, implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, and optimize infrastructure for reliability and scalability.

What you need to succeed:

• Australian Citizenship, with the ability to obtain and retain an NV1/ NV2 clearance
• Min 5 years post graduate experience in DevOps or similar
• Experience in full SDLC and agile methodologies
• Tertiary qualifications in Software Development, engineering, computer science or similar
• Proficiency in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD)
• Significant experience with Linux, open source applications and tools management
• Experience with configuration management and automatic deployment tools such as Ansible, AWX
• Experience with configuration management and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet)
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
• Scripting skills using languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell

Positions are based in Adelaide on a 12 month Fixed-Term basis.
Candidates with out-of-state applications will need to be willing to relocate, as FIFO options are not available for these roles.
