Roles and responsibilitiesAs a Stewarding Supervisor you willbe responsible in all aspects of managing cleanliness, hygienic andsafe environment of the back of house of food and beverage area.Ensuring the quality of the cleanliness, hygiene and sanitation inaccordance's to local UAE rules and regulation inaddition to Mandarin Oriental Hotel Groupstandard.KeyResponsibilitiesSupervise and support the stewardingteam, ensuring efficient and effective kitchen cleaning andorganization.Oversee the cleaning, sanitation,and maintenance of all kitchen areas, equipment, andutensils.Develop and enforce cleaningschedules and checklists to meet health and safetyregulations.Train, mentor, and motivatestewarding staff to uphold company standards and improveperformance.Ensure waste disposal andrecycling practices are followed.Coordinatewith chefs and other kitchen staff to maintain seamlessoperations.Monitor inventory levels ofcleaning supplies and communicate with the procurement team forstock replenishment.Assist with administrativetasks, including performance evaluations, shift scheduling, andreporting.Oversee and follow through the foodsafety standards set by Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Safe& Sound and through the UAE Municipality rules andregulation.TeamManagement:
Oversee a team of stewards ordishwashers to ensure that all kitchen and dining area cleaningtasks are completed efficiently and according to health and safetystandards.Training andDevelopment:
Provide training to new stewards on theproper use of kitchen equipment, cleaning procedures, and safetyprotocols.
Continuously monitor staff performance and provideongoing coaching andfeedback.Scheduling and ShiftManagement:
Create work schedules for stewards toensure the kitchen and dining areas are continuously maintainedthroughout operating hours, particularly during peak mealperiods.Motivation andPerformance Monitoring:
Ensure that the team ismotivated, productive, and adheres to service standards.
Addressany performance issues promptly andeffectively.
Desired candidate profile Qualifications AndRequirementsHigh School qualification orequivalent.Degree or Higher National Diplomain Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management ispreferred.A minimum 2 years'experience as Supervisor Steward or 4 years of experience asSteward in a high end five-star luxuryhotel.Work experience in at least one of thefollowing countries in the Middle East:
UAE, Bahrain, Saudi Arabiaand Qatar is preferred.Certified essentialfood safety in catering or Serve Safe certificated ispreferredKnowledgeable about proper handlingof Dishwashing Machines and Chemicals.Strongknowledge of Food Safety isessentialTeamManagement:
