Om die regte en verantwoordelikhede van individue op situasies in die alledaagse lewe toe te pas

Hieronder volg uittreksels van vyf koerantberigte of -briewe. Vier daarvan kom uit Die Burger van 10 September 2003, en een uit die Tyger Burger van 6 Augustus 2003.

  • Lees hulle deur en bespreek hulle in terme van individuele regte en verantwoordelikhede in klein groepies van vier elk, of as klas (jou onderwyser sal besluit). Skryf by elkeen neer watter van die menseregte wat in die Handves genoem word, ter sprake kom. Probeer soveel moontlik regte/verantwoordelikhede lys.

Een van die Moederstad se geliefde komediante wou gisteraand met alle geweld voor ‘n vertoning in Johannesburg hierheen terugkeer nadat hy gehoor het sy gesin was die slagoffers van ‘n kaping.

Twee gewapende mans het mev. Tony Philander, vrou van Soli Philander, en hul vier kinders gistermiddag by hul huis in Rosebank van hul motor beroof en die gesin se hond ernstig beseer.

Mev. Philander en die kinders het omstreeks 17:20 in die oprit na hul huis in Vredenburg Circus stilgehou ná ‘n kuier saam met haar suster uit Johannesburg.

“My oudste dogter (Ddanya) het vir my gesê sy het twee mans sien nader hardloop, maar sy het gedink hulle probeer uit die reën kom,” het mev. Philander gisteraand aan Die Burger gesê.

“Toe ek die pistool in die een se hand sien, het ek egter besef daar is moeilikheid.”

Die mans het haar beveel om haar motorsleutels en handsak te oorhandig.

NEE VIR SEKS-OUDERDOM

Ek verwys na die berig, “ACDP gekant teen ouderdom vir seks” (DB. 6/9). Ek spreek my sterkste moontlike teenkanting teen dié plan uit.

As stemgeregtigde burger van die land, geneesheer en ma van ‘n dertienjarige dogter wil ek graag hoor wat die motivering is vir die Wysigingswetsontwerp op Seksuele Oortredings se beoogde verlaagde ouderdom vir instemming tot seksuele eksperimentering na tussen 12 en 16 jaar.

Ek dink dit is ‘n skreiende miskenning van die kinders in ons land se reg om deur wetgewing beskerm te word teen seksuele uitbuiting, verkragting en kinderprostitusie.

Daar is wel baie tieners wat uit eie keuse vanaf ‘n jong ouderdom seksueel aktief is, ondanks alle inligting oor seksueel oordraagbare siektes. Net so is daar baie tieners wat dwelms misbruik. Laasgenoemde feit kan nie dien as motivering om dwelmgebruik te wettig nie.

Hoe kan ‘n verantwoordelike regering hierdie beplande wetgewing oor instemming tot seksuele eksperimentering hoegenaamd regverdig?

Dis tyd dat elke ouer in Suid-Afrika die regering tot verantwoording roep!

can someone explain to me, an ignorant high school student, why the trend of the graph doesn't follow the fact that the higher frequency a sound wave is, the more power it is, hence, making me think the phons output would follow this general trend?

Nevermind i just realied that the graph is the phons output for a person with normal hearing and not just the phons output of the sound waves power, I should read the entire thing next time

Follow up question, does anyone know where I can find a graph that accuretly depicts the actual relative "power" output of sound over its frequency instead of just humans hearing
