Dismissal for Want of Prosecution. If you don't pursue the case once it's filed, many courts will place the case on the DWOP docket. The court has the inherent power to manage it's docket, Villarreal v. San Antonio Truck & Equip. , 994 S.W.2d 628, 630 (Tex. 1999), and DWOP is authorized by rule 165a of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure.
