Join our team as a valued Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant dedicated to serving United States Veterans! In this fulfilling role, you will conduct medical assessments as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
Your responsibilities will include reviewing medical records electronically through a secure web portal and performing focused, in-person physical examinations for each Veteran. You will document your findings electronically to ensure the VA has accurate records for their disability determinations.
Please note that you will not make disability determinations, as this responsibility lies with the United States Veterans Administration. Your focus will be strictly on performing Disability Assessments for Veterans without treatment or medication prescribing.
In a typical day, you can expect to assess 3 to 5 Veterans.
Schedule:
One day a week (8 AM - 4 PM). This is an
in-person
position.
Key Attributes:
A genuine interest in performing Independent Medical Assessments.
A strong ability to analyze data from medical records and examination findings to complete questionnaires and formulate medical opinions.
Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines effectively.
A current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
Proficient in computer usage for documentation purposes.
Requirements:
Must hold a current, unrestricted NP or PA (NCCPA accredited) license.
Meet the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA.
