American Medical Staffing (AMS) puts you first, and we are currently seeking an RN to join our State Psychiatric team in Huntington, WV. It is a training site for future healthcare professionals attending over twenty colleges and educational institutions in the tri-state area of southwestern WV, with a maximum capacity of 110-beds.

• Requirements:
  Qualified applicants MUST have at least 1 years of experience, preferably in a psych, corrections or similar setting, have a valid RN license and be willing to obtain WV and/or compact licensure.

As a Registered Nurse in a state psychiatric setting, youll play a crucial role in providing comprehensive healthcare services to institutionalized individuals, promoting their well-being and rehabilitation. This position works in partnership with a team of state psychiatric staff and allows you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients. Responsibilities include:

• Assessing patient health status, developing care plans, and implementing nursing interventions as needed
• Administering medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols
• Monitoring patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment, adjusting care plans as necessary
• Collaborating with healthcare team members, correctional staff, and community resources to ensure continuity of care
• Documenting patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
