Starting pay up to $23.00/hour based on experience.Retention Bonus eligible!
This position offers a built-in bonus that is paid throughout the new hire's first year of employment. It is paid out as outlined below:

$500 bonus once the new hire reaches 3 months or continued employment.
$500 bonus once the new hire reaches 6 months or continued employment.
$1,000 bonus once the new hire reaches 12 months or continued employment.

Night shift is also eligible for an additional $1.50/hr as a shift differential.

SUMMARY

Machine Operators play a crucial role in manufacturing and production processes by operating and maintaining various types of machinery and equipment. The following job description outlines the responsibilities and skill sets required for machine operators at three different skill levels. The below description is for Machine Operator II.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function.

As a Machine Operator II, you will be responsible for successfully operating various machines independently.

Operate and maintain a variety of complex machinery independently.
Set-up and calibrate machines based on production requirements, and perform changeovers.
Monitor production processes, adjusting machine settings as needed.
Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machines.
Conduct quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
Troubleshoot and resolve machine malfunctions or defects.
Train and mentor entry-level machine operators.
Collaborate with supervisors and other departments to optimize production efficiency.
Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Maintain good housekeeping and regularly clean work area, machines, and equipment.
Identify and contribute to continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs or increase productivity without reducing effectiveness.
Maintain an open and candid working relationship with immediate supervisor/manager in discussing matters of importance.
Adhere to established company values, practices, policies, and procedures at all times. Follow and support compliance with all applicable safety rules, laws, regulations, and standards.
Demonstrate regular and punctual attendance at the assigned work location.

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIESAn individual qualified for this job must be able to:

Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
Proficient in reading technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Familiarity with hand and power tools.
Operate a computer-PC proficiency; use spreadsheets and reporting software effectively.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Look for opportunities to reduce costs or increase productivity without reducing effectiveness.
Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONSAn individual qualified for this job must have and maintain the following qualifications:

Previous experience as a machine operator or similar role.
Strong technical understanding of machinery and manufacturing processes.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic mechanical aptitude.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Basic computer literacy for data entry and equipment monitoring.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Remain in a stationary position when performing line operations.
Regularly move about when moving along the line as needed to perform job duties.
Transport products and materials weighing up to 58 pounds when moving products to the line and or emptying boxes to the load area.
Manipulate products on pallets, using force of up to 35 pounds.
Position oneself to retrieve products or materials from ground level.
Reach forward and overhead when inspecting product and moving pallets.
Ascend/descend stairs/ladders to access the machine, catwalk, and when climbing over machinery/line.
Position and handle product, boxes, and pallets.
Perceive the nature of sounds and have the ability to exchange detailed information while performing job duties in a manufacturing plant where noise level is moderate to high.

ENVIROMENTAL CONDITIONS

The environmental conditions described here are representative of those the associate encounters while performing the Essential Functions of the job.

The individual in this position will be expected to work in a manufacturing plant environment, which may include being exposed to work in high/precarious places, moving machinery, marked changes in temperature and humidity, and dust, odors, and fumes. Typical noise level is loud.
