Must-Have:
• Flu Vaccine (Required - Medical Exemptions Only)
• Telemetry Skills
• Work in the 6S Ortho/Med Surg Overflow Unit during night shifts, weekdays, and every other weekend.
• Care for patients who have undergone bone and joint reconstructive surgery, joint replacement, orthopedic trauma surgery, or have experienced sports injury.
• Provide care in Med/Surg overflow.
• Utilize remote telemetry monitoring with a staffed off-unit station.
• Care for adult patients aged 18 and older.
• Maintain patient ratios typically at 1:4, with occasional flex to 1:5.
• Work under a team nursing model.
• Perform IV starts and manage medications such as Cardizem, Heparin, Nitro, Argatroban, Amiodarone, and Dopamine (for renal perfusion only).
• Operate CPMs, Orthopat, Constavac, Hemovac, Wound Vacs, and traction equipment.
• Orientation and start dates available every other week on Thursday.
• Be open to float within scope to meet facility needs.
• Accommodate blocked schedule requests when possible.
Note: Previous probationary actions on a license will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Current employees of specific health systems are not eligible for a travel contract at this time. Please ensure all documentation is complete prior to start.
