Travel Stepdown RN is needed for 13 weeks to start ASAP in a facility in West Virginia. Shifts consist of 7-7. 5 South - Multidisciplinary team approach in providing nursing care to multi-system-injured trauma patients and surgical patients. A six-bed intermediate care stepdown unit, 25 bed med/surg tele trauma, 6 bed trauma stepdown provides an intermediate level of care. Breakdown: 6 bed pediatric trauma, 25 bed med/surg tele trauma, 6 bed trauma stepdown. Patient age groups: Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics. TBI's. Chest tubes, Wound vac's. Stepdown critical drips: amiodarone, cardizem, precedex, dopamine, dobutamine, insulin, nitro. Epidurals for multiple rib fx's, Arterial lines. Fit testing required. Accepts first time travelers. Requirements: ACLS, BCLS, IV Start, Telemetry, 1-year PCU required. Preferred: Vents, Conscious Sedation, Level I Trauma. Previous ortho/trauma experience preferred. One year of in specialty experience required. Pending license OK to submit! License takes 3-4 weeks Must have clean license - no prior suspensions allowed - probations considered on a case by case basis. PLEASE DO NOT SEND ANYONE WHO REFUSES FLU SHOT WITHOUT MEDICAL PROOF CAMC requires all personnel take flu vaccine unless they have true allergy documented by an allergist or physician of record.
