Women s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP)
to join our team at
Portsmouth Naval Hospital.
Nurse Practitioner Position Qualifications/Requirements:
Degree:
HCW shall have a Masters or Doctoral Level degree in nursing.
Education : Graduate from an academic program, within the nursing specialty field of study that is accredited by a regional or national nursing accrediting agency recognized by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
Experience:
Have a minimum of two (2) years of
full-time experience working as a Women s Health Nurse Practitioner
within the past three (3) years.
Certifications in addition to Basic Life Support : Possess certification as an OB/GYN NP or Women's Health Care NP by the National Certification Corporation for the Obstetric, Gynecologic, and Neonatal Nursing Specialties (NCC).
Licensure/Registration : Shall have and maintain a valid, unrestricted state license in
any state
in the United States, District of Columbia, or the territory of Puerto Rico to practice medicine, and a current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration. The licenses and registration must be renewed and maintained in a current status during the life of the contract.
