The Director of Multifamily Asset Management blends the responsibility of overseeing the lease up and property management of our overall multifamily portfolio of properties, while being involved in acquisition assessment, marketing, sales and hands-on financial planning with a focus on increasing the value of the assets included in the growing Zilber Residential Group 'ZRG' division.
'ZRG' currently has approximately 2,500 completed and pipeline apartment units, located in Wisconsin, Florida, Arizona, and California.

Primary Responsibilities:

Working closely with our third-party property management companies to assure best-in class leasing strategies and property lease up results.
Achieve NOI financial objectives by analyzing budgetary variances and initiating corrective actions and or other strategies related to maximizing revenue and/or controlling costs as may be required.
Ensure property upkeep and maintenance is being performed effectively and efficiently.
Physically inspect communities on a regular basis
Collaborate with, and report to, the Zilber regional development team and Milwaukee-based personnel.
Foster an environment of trust and high performance with multiple property management partners.
Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Analyze best in class multifamily asset management practices, technology, tools and consider applicability for ZRG portfolio.
Conduct market, submarket, and competitor research on key performance comparisons on an on-going basis.
25% travel to portfolio of properties in FL, AZ, CA markets.
Based in Milwaukee; in office 4 days/week.

Experience & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting, Real Estate, Business Administration or a related field.
Minimum 5 years full-time experience in residential property management, residential asset management, real estate underwriting, finance/accounting or a related field.
Multifamily experience strongly preferred.
Proficiency in financial analysis (Microsoft Excel), market research, and strategic planning.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
