Responsibilities:
As an Intermediate Care Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for assessing, monitoring, and managing patients' conditions. Key responsibilities include:
Patient Assessment and Monitoring:
Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' health status upon admission and throughout their stay in the IMC unit.
Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygenation levels, and other physiological parameters, identifying changes and responding promptly to acute conditions.
Clinical Care and Interventions:
Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accuracy in dosage, administration, and monitoring of therapeutic responses.
Perform complex nursing procedures such as managing ventilated patients, administering blood products, and titrating vasoactive medications under physician supervision.
Patient Education and Support:
Educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies to promote recovery and prevent complications.
Provide emotional support and address concerns, ensuring patients and families are informed and involved in decision-making processes.
Requirements and Qualifications:
This role requires a qualified RN with experience in Intermediate Care settings. Applicants must have strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Pay Package:
The pay package for this role includes a tax-free stipend amount to be determined, based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week.
