We are currently seeking a Lab Tech I, to interact directly with our healthy volunteer participants while learning to read clinical research protocols and enjoy working in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.

This is a full-time, office-based position in Madison, Wisconsin.

Summary of role:

Whilst allowing you to have a close face-to-face relationship with participants, and as you continue to practice your clinical skills and knowledge, youll be involved with the latest medical technologies and treatments, witnessing their development firsthand.
When the drug you worked with gets approved, you know youll touch many patients lives around the world.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

You will perform routine laboratory sample processing for phase I unit.

Other key responsibilities:

Follows the laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing.
Operates laboratory equipment.
Recognizes deviations from expected results and follows up appropriately.
Processes and ships PK samples according to study specific instructions.
Participates in the collection of biological specimens.
Evaluates and solves problems related to the collection and processing of specimens.
Facilitates the workflow through the laboratory to ensure completion of processing in a timely manner.
Operates and utilizes all communications systems available in the laboratory; telephones, copiers, facsimile machines and pagers.
Maintains and cleans laboratory equipment.
Inventories reagents and supplies to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Undertake any other duties as required

YOU NEED TO BRING.

Associate degree or equivalent.
Fortrea may consider relevant and equivalent experience in lieu of educational requirements
1 year of laboratory experience.
Additional laboratory experience may be substituted for education requirements.
