Driver CDL-A

We are seeking aClass A CDL Driverto join our dynamic team! We are looking for a responsible delivery driver to distribute research products promptly to our customers.
You will represent our company in a professional, safe and cost-effective manner aiming at increasing profitability and customer satisfaction.

This is a multi-faceted route driver position with regular overnight routes (1-2 nights), some weekend routes, teams driving for one route.
This position would include rotating routes with the rest of the team.

Starting Rate:
$33/ hour + full benefits within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Be able to drive and successfully operate a vehicle with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) over 26,000 lbs.
  
• Pick up loads, verify for accuracy, and deliver on time
• Accurately complete paperwork
• Load and unload various types of cargo safely
• Drive safely in various conditions, including heavy traffic and inclement weather
• Inspect vehicle before start of shift; perform basic truck maintenance when necessary
• Follow schedule and rest when necessary
• Be able to read maps and follow directions to a location
• Provide courteous, professional customer service at all customer locations
• Be able to repeatedly lift items weighing up to 70 lbs.
  
• Drive for long periods of time safely
• Willing to drive a teams route - this route is rotated
• Self-motivated and reliable
• Able to read maps and GPS
• Customer service skills
• Good knowledge of roads and direction, traffic laws, and DOT regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of CDL driving experience
• Successful completion of a motor vehicle driving record check
• Able to follow detailed instructions and communicate in English
• Strong ability to pay attention to detail
• Possess good customer relations skills
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Must be available for specialty runs at early hours or for late starts, as needed
• TB Test required
