JOB REQUIREMENTS:
PURCHASING ASSOCIATE Machine Service, Inc.
is a local family-owned business that has been operating in Green Bay for over 75 years.
We serve a vast array of businesses and industries worldwide.
Shift:
Dayshift, full-time Monday through Friday.
Approximately 7:
00 AM 3:
30 PM with overtime as necessary.
Start time may be flexible.
Duties:
Foster trusted relationships with internal and external vendors.
Utilize and improve team resources for efficient sourcing.
Analyze procurement processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Maintain documentation and records for all procurement activities.
Send requests for quotes to vendors and negotiate prices and/or lead-times.
Provide updates to managers and/or owners on any supply chain or purchase order related issues.
Monitor vendor quality, pricing and delivery issues.
Support other departments and management personnel as needed.
Key Skills Required:
Purchasing and/or inventory experience required.
Strong negotiation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of freight logistics.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
Strong technical aptitude.
Detail oriented with strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to analyze bills of material and understand key requirements.
