Lead Data Integration Engineer

We care and make a positive difference.As a lead Engineer on Data Strategy you will be involved in designing system solutions, implementing new features, resolving complex incidents and problems, responding to infrastructure monitoring and alerts, and consultation with application support and development staff.
You will also have the opportunity to learn and work with application technologies as architectural and engineering design needs arise.
Applying established best practices, you will take charge of build decisions, infrastructure design for larger, more complex systems to achieve strategic objectives in the areas of service management, risk management and project delivery.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.AWS or Docker or Kubernetes Certification Preferred 6+ years experience in Data Movement technologies like Informatica, Qlik ,AWS DMS,GLUE systems Administration or Application Engineering.3+ years of experience leading complex solutions and teams6+ years experience with networking and Linux based platforms6+ years experience with modern programming and scripting languages (Python, Go, JavaScript)6+ years experience performance tuning and operations of application stacks, OSs, DBs, etc3+ years experience with AWS Cloud Services (AWS Certified Preferred) and containerized applicationsTechnical Skills:
Develop data ingestion pipelines to efficiently load data from various sources into the data lake.Establish data quality checks, validations, and monitoring processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency.Implement and maintain data lineage, auditing, and reporting mechanisms.Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, particularly in services related to data lakes (e.g., AWS S3, Azure Data Lake, Google Cloud Storage).Experience with data integration, data transformation, and data pipeline orchestration.Experience resolving complex problems logically and methodically, and good judgment to involve and communicate with vendors, internal teams and management.Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks (Terraform, CloudFormation)Experience working with DevOps, CICD, GitOps, Agile methodologies.Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation and how to apply it with services such as Gitlab CI, Jenkins, CodePipeline, or Circle CIExperience with Unit TestingExperience with Linux and Windows.
Understanding how to install, configure and manage.
Very comfortable with CLI.Ability to write complex python scripts for maintenance automation and testing.Ability to design, implement and maintain Business Continuity Plan (BCP) and provide support for BCP exercises and actual disaster recovery.Professional Skills:

$121,030.00Pay Range - End:
$224,770.00Northwestern Mutual pays on a geographic-specific salary structure and placement in the salary range for this position will be determined by a number of factors including the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; the scope, complexity as well as the cost of labor in the market; and other conditions of employment.
At Northwestern Mutual, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
