This is an awesome opportunity to join a well-established manufacturer and become the newest member of their large engineering team. They are looking to add an Automation Engineer. This role will support the manufacturing process through automation initiatives by designing, developing, and implementing automation throughout the corporation.
While they would love to find a candidate with experience/education in plastics engineering, they are open to training those with other engineering disciplines. If you have a background in production engineering focused on automation and controls, please continue reading for more information!

Responsibilities:
• Develop and justify automation projects driving safety, efficiency, and cost-saving improvements in all operations
• Create CAD-generated detailed layouts, fixtures, and end-of-arm tooling design models as required
• Create bills of materials, dimensional part drawings, and estimates as needed
• Coordinate and support Project Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Outsourcing as required to develop complete technical specifications
• Project management including creating timelines and flow charts, and coordinating meetings for effective communication throughout the team
• Other Engineering projects as directed by Managers

Skills:
• 2-4 years of experience in plastics processing and manufacturing is strongly preferred
Education:

Bachelors

Qualifications:
• Understanding of automation design, fixture design, build, and construction
• Knowledge in the field of robotics and programming
• Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Quality)
