We are currently assisting our client, a mission driven organization focused on early childhood education, with a search for a Contract Recruiter and Onboarding Specialist.

JOB SUMMARY:


Our Contract Recruiter and Onboarding Specialist will collaborate with the leadership team and hiring managers to support the staffing needs, maintain a pipeline of talent, advertise open positions, screen applicants, and guide candidates through the recruiting, hiring and onboarding process.
The Specialist will ensure a seamless, top-tier onboarding experience for newly hired staff, and is a critical contact for candidates, hiring managers, and our management teams.
Primary responsibilities revolve around coordinating the entire recruitment, onboarding and integration process for our new employees.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop a robust recruitment program that attracts top talent and fosters a stable and diverse workforce
  • Contribute to retention goals by effectively communicating company culture, goals, expectations, and policies to candidates for hire.
  • Consult and advise hiring managers on overall hiring process, job posting creation and effective candidate assessment/interview techniques, offers, etc.
  • Post and promote job postings on the company website, and across the internet and target niche sites
  • Source talented and diverse candidates through creative recruiting methods which attract and engage both active and passive candidates.
  • Screen and interview candidates to assess knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Collect and document information on candidates with regard to qualifications, motivations, and compensation requirements.
  • Provide a diverse candidate pool of qualified prospects to the hiring manager.
  • Arrange interviews by coordinating candidate and hiring manager schedules.
  • Be a skilled closer.
    Negotiate start dates, employment offers, sign-on bonuses with management approval.
  • Maintains accurate ongoing candidate information and recruitment process.
  • Complete reference checks.
  • Work closely with our Human Resources Team and Payroll Department when offering positions.
  • Review, track, and document accurate and compliant candidate and employee records.
  • Manage the onboarding process to ensure a seamless and welcoming experience for all new hires and track completion of new hire trainings.
  • Serve as a point of contact for new employees, addressing any questions/concerns during their first weeks of employment
  • Facilitate onboarding sessions, including benefits review, new hire orientation, and training on agency policies, culture, and procedures.
  • Partner with supervisors to ensure role-specific training and expectations are clearly communicated, including 30/60/90-day goals
  • Manage and ensure the completion of the 90-day evaluation process for new hires, following up with supervisors as needed to ensure timely and accurate assessments.
  • Collect feedback from new hires to continuously improve the onboarding process.
  • Create onboarding materials, welcome kits, and update orientation content as needed.
  • Attend company meetings as requested.
  • Assist with other activities as directed by the Program Director.
Qualifications:
  • Solid Google Suites knowledge with bachelor's degree in human resources, business Administration or equivalent work experience and secondary language capability in Spanish or Chinese is preferred.
  • 4+ years of full cycle, professional level recruiting experience strongly preferred with name generation skills, networking/relationship building skills and ability to source candidates from job boards, niche sites, cold calling, etc.
  • Proven history of recruiting for a variety of client groups, preferably in the nonprofit or public sector space
  • Consultative and customer service skills are a priority:
    must be effective and comfortable interacting with employees at all levels and diverse, educational, linguistic and cultural backgrounds
  • Well versed in recruiting technology (applicant tracking, candidate relationship management, social media).
  • Able to work independently in a dynamic environment of change, challenge and multiple deadlines/priorities.
  • Ability to multitask and manage communications with both internal and external people.
  • Superior analytical, attention to detail, planning and organizational skills.
  • Uses business knowledge, innovative thinking, and sound judgment in the solution of problems or the pursuit of business opportunities.
  • Knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
  • Excellent understanding of interview techniques and applicant screening methods
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

Location:
Remote.
Candidates must be located in the Greater Seattle Area and available for occasional on-site training/tours and in person meetings with hiring managers.

Pay Range:
$40 - $55/hour
