Job Summary The Behavioral Health (BH) Clinical Specialist position provides clinical and operational expertise and coaching to the network for the purpose of aligning with quality assurance standards, encouraging the effective spread of clinical best practices, and the successful implementation of improvement initiatives, with the end goal of improving health outcomes for members.
This position is differentiated from the Behavioral Health Clinical Specialist - License role by having a more significant understanding of operations of licensing board, including but not limited to ethics and continuing education standards.
Additionally, the licensure position places a higher expectation on mapping out clinical quality care and addressing complex clinical cases.
Essential Responsibilities Training Design, Evaluation, and Implementation Collaborate in the design, implementation, and delivery of training programs, instructional tools, and delivery strategies based upon knowledge gaps identified by staff and the leadership team.
Evaluate and document the effectiveness of the BH developed training programs.
Design materials that align with Branding and Marketing standards Develop and maintain tools for tracking timelines, deliverables, and project outcomes.
Develop and oversee behavioral health clinical best practices and regulatory curriculum for the provider networks.
Using an equity lens to create trauma-informed materials.
Track and share the outcomes derived from the training material to stakeholders.
Ensuring training content is updated with advanced interpretation and seek options for process improvement.
Consult and develop plans related to quality of care concerns regarding the BH provider network.
Coaching and Facilitation Design and lead collaborative meetings with behavioral health cohorts involving staff and leadership teams of internal and external organizations as a trainer and facilitator.
Coach and motivate BH provider teams on clinical improvement projects, including (but not limited to) development of project goals, dates, and timelines.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across departments and leadership groups to develop interactive training programs, instructional tools, and delivery strategies based upon knowledge gaps identified by regional leadership and provider networks.
Regularly connect with system partners regarding progress of projects and regularly update leadership on goal tracking.
Assist internal and external behavioral health leadership in implementation, leading and completion of network strategies and interventions.
Perform work in alignment with the organization's mission, vision, and values.
Using trauma-informed language and equity, diversity, and inclusion to guide stakeholder engagement.
