Job Summary:
We are looking for a Safety Supervisor with experience in a large chemical facility to join our team. The Safety Supervisor will act as a liaison to ensure compatibility of safety processes between the client and the contractor. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of OSHA standards as they apply to construction and maintenance operations and be able to maintain a basic knowledge of these standards to ensure compliance on the job site.
Job Responsibilities:
Act as a liaison between the client and contractor to ensure compatibility of safety processes
Work closely with the client and contractor to identify areas of improvement in safety processes
Monitor and analyze safety metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement
Provide training and guidance to employees and contractors on safety procedures and best practices
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with OSHA standards
Investigate and report on safety incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions
Collaborate with management to develop and implement safety programs and initiatives
Maintain a basic knowledge of OSHA standards as they apply to construction and maintenance operations
Stay up-to-date with changes to OSHA regulations and ensure compliance on the job site
Requirements
Job Requirements:
5+ years of experience in a large chemical facility
Strong knowledge of OSHA standards as they apply to construction and maintenance operations
Ability to maintain a basic knowledge of OSHA standards and regulations and stay up-to-date with changes
Experience in developing and implementing safety programs and initiatives
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
