This Assistant Distribution Center Manager job is for you if you enjoy:

Assisting the DC Manager by managing and executing all activities of the warehouse in support of the overall operation

Help to promote an overall corporate image of excellence through a strong work ethic, leadership by example, and the consistent delivery of excellent customer service throughout the warehouse operation.

Working in the Seattle Tacoma International Airport

Your team is counting on you to as an Assistant Distribution Center Manager to:

Work a Full-Time Schedule

Provide full flexibility and open availability to work any shift throughout the day, any day of the week including weekends and holidays.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Protects all company assets in the warehouse including non-stock merchandise.

Provides a safe and clean environment for warehouse personnel.

Coaches and trains warehouse personnel.

Supervises and delegates tasks to warehouse employees.

Places stock orders as required.

Counts and receives incoming merchandise; reports shortages/overages to vendors in a timely manner, before required deadlines.

Counts and completes all appropriate paperwork for merchandise returns to vendors.

Adjusts prices (mark ups/ markdowns) as per the General Manager's instructions.

Provides ongoing stock replenishment to the sales floor.

Isolates, sorts, and organizes all damaged and outdated products for subsequent supplier credits and returns.

Organizes all preparatory work for annual inventory.

Implements and enforces controls that protect the company's assets from internal and external shrink.

Ensures accurate compliance with the receiving log.

Ensures company equipment (trucks, pallet jacks, dollies, etc.) are with in safe operational standards.

Performs daily/ weekly operational audits.

Leadership qualities and demonstrated organizational skills.

Good time-management skills and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to multi-task.

Required Qualifications:

1-3 years of previous warehouse experience preferably in a managerial role.

Must be well versed with Ms. Office suite

SAP Experience - inventory control required!

Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, and converse comfortably with subordinates.

The ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.

Requires the ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions
