This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Facilities, and Security. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.

As part of a small, passionate and accomplished team of experts, you will manufacture, assemble, and test hardware for various spaceflight systems. Responsibilities:

• Manually repair stereolithography patterns following established methods and procedures. Requires the use of some judgment to make routine repairs to surface features of a wide range of stereolithography patterns and perform work effectively.

• Polish parts to achieve a high-quality finish, enhancing appearance and durability.

• Work involves a variety of hand operations requiring manual dexterity, concentration and care.

• Detect and report defects indicating unusual operating conditions to lead person for investigation and correction.

• Meet acceptable level of product throughput while maintaining quality standards.

• Some physical effort using small hand tools, handling individual patterns and manipulating as necessary.

• Continuous mental or visual attention in visually checking patterns for surface flaws, making repairs. Duties involve constant alertness and activity.

• Reports to the wax lead person and the wax supervisor.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED

• All experience in aerospace manufacturing, integration, or other relevant field will be considered

• Ability to work effectively with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment with rapidly changing roles and responsibilities

• Ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures

• Basic computer skills such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to climb ladders/stairs and work in small restricted areas

• Perform repetitive work including lifting of heavy items, >50lbs

• Work off-shift, extended hours overtime, and weekends if/when necessary

• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion

• Must be a U. S. citizen or national, U. S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U. S. as a refugee or granted asylum

Desired:

• Industry certification, trade school training and/or degree in related field

• 3D printing experience

• Experienced in handling wax or stereolithography molds

• Experience in a team-based Lean Manufacturing environment
