Overview of the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center's Neurosciences Critical Care Unit.

About the Job The Senior Neuro ICU Nurse will work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to deliver clinical excellence in patient-centered care, while being empowered through evidence-based practice, continuing education, collaboration, and shared governance to deliver nursing care at the highest level with empathy and kindness in the forefront.
This role offers a challenging and rewarding experience, working with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional care to critically ill patients.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills and expertise in a fast-paced environment, while contributing to the growth and development of the Neurosciences Critical Care Unit.
Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the Neurosciences Critical Care Unit
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge in neuroscience critical care
Contribute to the growth and development of the Neurosciences Critical Care Unit through participation in quality improvement initiatives and professional development opportunities
Requirements To be successful in this role, you will need:
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree (BSN) or equivalent
A minimum of one year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting, preferably in neuroscience critical care
Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse License
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification
Lifting 75 lbs.
maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs
Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in neuroscience critical care, ACLS, NIHSS, CCRN, Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse certification, or Certified Stroke Nurse certification would be advantageous.
