Sentara Norfolk General Hospital located in Norfolk, Virginia is hiring aRN Travelerfor their Stepdown IMCU & Med-Surg floor! This is a Temporary Full Time Night Shift Position.
Must have two or more years of current acute care hospital experience.
Contracts begin soon for 14+ weeks.

$70 per hour Department/Position Overview:
This is a 34 bed unit with 17 for Med Surg and17 for Intermediate Care Unit.
The Nurse:
Patient Ratio is 1:
4 for IMCU and 1:
6 for Med./Surg,Patient Population:
Trauma/Burns, Orthopedic Trauma, Neurosurgery.
The Registered Nurse will work in a collaborative role as part of a team to maintain and support the standards of nursing care and practice, in order to meet the health care needs of patients, their families, and the community.

Job Summary

The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.
The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing.
The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.
