American Medical Staffing (AMS) puts you first, and we are currently seeking an LPN to join our corrections medical team in Jarratt, Virginia. This is a men's state prison with a maximum capacity of 2,424 inmates.

• Pay Rate: $1,168 to $1,368 per week
• Schedule: 7 - 7
• Available Shift: [SHIFT], 3 shifts per week
• Start Date: Two weeks from offer
• Located In: Jarratt, VA
• Requirements: Qualified applicants MUST have at least 1 years of experience, preferably in a corrections or similar setting, have a valid LPN license and be willing to obtain VA and/ or licensure.

As a Licensed Practical Nurse in a correctional care setting, you'll play a crucial role in providing comprehensive healthcare services to incarcerated individuals, promoting their well-being and rehabilitation. This position works in partnership with a team of correctional staff and allows you to make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients. Responsibilities include:

• Provide basic nursing care to patients under the supervision on RNs or physicians.
• Monitoring patients vitals and symptoms-administering medication and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols
• Administer medications and injections as prescribed by a physician and monitor for adverse reactions to medications
• Responding to medical emergencies and providing immediate interventions as needed
• Documenting all patient interactions, treatments, and observations accurately and timely
• Educating patients on self-care techniques and promoting health education within the correctional facility
