Title: Mechanical Engineer

Salary: $85,000-$95,000 (DOE)

Overview:

Join our dynamic team as a Mechanical Design Engineer and play a crucial role in developing innovative products that meet client needs and industry standards. This exciting position offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead concept development, and mentor junior team members while working on cutting-edge engineering projects.

Job Responsibilities:

Define product requirements through stakeholder meetings
Collaborate with engineers and CAD designers on various projects
Lead concept development and ensure designs meet client needs
Create detailed CAD drawings using AutoCAD Inventor and SolidWorks
Develop designs focused on manufacturability, assembly, and reliability
Build and test prototypes, analyzing results
Troubleshoot and recommend solutions for manufacturing issues
Manage change control processes
Deliver project outputs and provide ongoing support
Contribute to improving mechanical design processes and standards
Mentor junior mechanical design team members
Adhere to project timelines and milestones

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from an ABET-accredited program
5+ years of engineering experience
Experience in sheet metal fabrication
Proficiency with SolidWorks, AutoCAD Inventor, Vault, and MS Office
Experience with switchgear is strongly preferred
Knowledge of UL standards (UL 891, UL 1558, UL 67, UL 857, UL 1008, UL 62368/60950) is preferred
Experience in designing electrical power distribution systems is preferred
