Recovery Support Specialist CRSP

About the Role

In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting and empowering clients on their path to recovery. You will utilize your personal experience and knowledge to provide individual and group support, education, and skill development.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct outreach calls to connect with active and inactive clients.

* Document outreach efforts in clients' electronic health records.

* Welcome and guide new clients through the program orientation.

* Facilitate engaging and informative skill-building groups.

* Offer individualized peer support and skill development to clients.

* Share feedback on program materials and curriculum with your supervisor.

* Keep the team updated on client progress and needs.

* Identify and communicate situations requiring crisis intervention for clients.

* Assist clients with transportation education.

* Share your personal experience and program knowledge to educate clients on the recovery process.

* Be adaptable and willing to take on new tasks as needed.

* Continuously develop your professional skills and knowledge.

* Represent Stepping Stones in relevant workgroups to improve services.

* Proficient in computer skills relevant to the position.

Qualifications:

* High school diploma or GED.

* Strong empathy and understanding of individuals with mental health challenges.

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to lead groups.

* Lived experience as a consumer of mental health services (past or present).

* Certified Peer Specialist certification is preferred.

Schedule, Location & Salary:

* 100% on-site at CRSP (Community Readiness and Support Program) 8221 Willow Oaks Corporate Drive Suite 3-409 Fairfax, VA 22031

* $20.00 per hour (estimated starting salary based on qualifications and experience)

* 30 hours per week

Monday - 8:30 am - 3:00 pm

Tuesday - 9:30 am - 3:30 pm

Wednesday - 9:30 am - 3:30 pm

Thursday - 9:30 am - 3:30 pm

Friday - 10:00 am - 3:30 pm
