The Opportunity:

With so much relying on complex systems, a skilled systems administrator can be the difference that makes a project successful. We're looking for a System Administrator with an excellent technical background in Linux knowledge to join our fast-paced team in maintaining our mission-critical operations system.

As a System Administrator on our team, you'll provide hands-on support to the administration of the tools and environment. You will perform Linux Systems Engineering and Administration working with virtual servers and associated technologies.

What You'll Work On:

Install and administer Oracle's PeopleSoft applications and updates.

Identify and implement application and server lever patches.

Analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance.

Design, document, and implement system configurations.

Work collaboratively with cloud engineers, application developers, and security analysts in a fast-paced agile environment.

Support new design or architecture tasking as part of system development efforts as requested.

Administer and service accounts.

Ensure products and systems comply with requirements and government information assurance, as well as cyber security standards and practices through formal verification methods.

Assess performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures.

Develop and maintain analytical procedures to meet changing requirements.

You Have:

3+ years of experience in Linux operating systems

Experience with Linux server administration

TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

Experience administering PeopleSoft or comparable Oracle products

Experience with AWS Cloud

Experience working with RHEL or CentOS

Experience with BASH, JSON, or Python scripting

Knowledge of Ansible Playbooks

Linux Certifications

Bachelor's degree

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
