We are seeking a passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team, as we partner with one of the best school districts in Virginia. If you are serious about singing on for the 2024-2025 school district immediately, please apply. We have a wonderful relationship and will be arranging immediate interviews and offers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in childhood development, special education, and behavioral health.
• Duties
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Create engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of each student
• Utilize various teaching methods to support students with diverse learning styles
• Monitor and assess student progress regularly
• Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educators to ensure student success
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment
• Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field required; Master's degree preferred
• Previous experience working with children with special needs
• Knowledge of curriculum development and literacy education
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience with IEP's
• Certification in Special Education or willingness to obtain certification
