Security Clearance Requirement: Current Secret (at a minimum)

Location: Local to Wash DC Metro, Hybrid

Position: Short-Term W2 (no 1099 or C2C)

Position Description:
JTEC is hiring a Data Engineer to support a 2 month project for our work on the DoD ADVANA advancing analytics platform. Qualified candidates will have recent experience supporting a DoD environment in a Data Science, Data Visualization, or Data Engineering focused role and possess a deep understanding of developing and advancing data-driven platform capabilities.

A current security clearance and experience working with Databricks is a must for consideration. Duties and responsibilities include:

Work as part of a collaborative team of government and contractor staff providing data expertise to support and streamline mission-focused data analysis
Support data engineering and automation activities for a new financial management product
Support a surge project task parsing a high volume of tables across multiple components
Develop scripts in Databricks to automate loads to standardize data across tables
Participate in requirements meetings, workshops, and meetings with leadership and stakeholders, as required.

Education and qualifications include:

U.S. citizenship
Current U.S. government security clearance (secret at a minimum)
5+ years of data and software solutioning expertise including:
- Experience creating scripts in Databricks to automate loads
- Experience standardizing data across tables (high volume, multiple components)

Strong working knowledge of enterprise architecture
Ability to articulate challenges and solutions across the full SDLC
Experience supporting data transformation
Extensive experience working with data visualization and dashboard development tools
Proficiency with Python, SQL, Spark, and data science technologies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate in a blended team environment
Proven expertise and prior success supporting high-profile customer engagements
Availability to support hybrid schedule
Availability to support a short-term position

Preferred experience includes:

Prior experience working with Standard Financial Information Structure (SFIS) is a plus
Knowledge of Qlik technologies including Qlik/Qlik Sense, QVD/QlikView, and Qlik Production Application Standards (QPAS) is highly desired

Salary:
JTEC offers competitive compensation and benefits to all employees. Salaries are dependent upon a wide range of factors including position requirements, customer/program needs, individual qualifications, education, experience, certification and/or training, location, and other job-related factors.

Pay Range: $160,000 - $200,000 per year
