Koniag Technology Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a talented UX/UI Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for understanding user needs. Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance to support KGS and our government customer. This position is Remote.
As a UI-UX Designer, you will be responsible for delivering quality online user experience, which makes your role extremely important for our success and ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty. You will be designing graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, forms, and widgets.
Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:
• Plan and implement designs
• Optimize existing user interface designs
• Test for intuitive use and experience
• Communicate with clients to understand their business goals and objectives
• Develop technical and business requirements and always strive to deliver intuitive and user-centered solutions
• Combine creativity with an awareness of the design elements
• Create prototypes for product ideas
• Test ideas before implementing
• Conduct ongoing user research
Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (a degree in Computer Science desirable)
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a UI-UX Designer or similar role
• Candidates without a college degree will be considered, but must have at least 8+ years of relevant design engineering experience
Required Skills and Competencies:
The successful candidate will have experience in the following:
• UI design portfolio
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to discuss and explain design options
• Detail oriented
• Critical thinker
• Problem solver and customer-centered
• Knowledge of Adobe range of products including XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat and Dreamweaver
• Experience with HTML5 & CSS3
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust
Desired Skills:
• A proven track record of proactively identifying and solving problems
• Familiarity with IT-related artifacts, such as architecture diagrams, use cases, activity diagrams, etc.
• Familiarity with Salesforce applications
• Self-driven and independently committed
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, etc.
