Position Summary
The CO-OP Consultant partners with Salt Lake County and community organizations to assist Opportunity Business Enterprises (OBEs) with their business-related endeavors. This person will provide triage capacity for businesses to help OBEs experiencing economic opportunity gaps lessen those inequities. This person will be maintaining several communication lines including the college, local organization partners/facilitators, and local small business owners. Student positions are funded by the County.
• Those communities, which we refer to as Opportunity Business Enterprises (OBEs), can be, but are not limited to: African American, Black, Hispanic, Latinx, Native American, Asian-Pacific, Subcontinent Asian American, women, persons with disabilities, veterans, and socially and/or economically disadvantaged businesses, including businesses located in geographies with lower economic opportunity.
