We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Survey/CAD Technician to join our team. responsible for collecting and measuring precise data points to support the layout and installation of electrical systems on construction sites. Your work will include creating reference point files for electrical switchgear locations, underground conduits, duct banks, and site electrical components such as emergency generators, transformers, and light fixtures.

What You Will Do:

Efficiently plan and prepare construction reference points using Trimble Fieldlink in coordination with Project Foremen and Project Managers.
Operate and utilize the Trimble Robotic Total Station (RTS) to establish accurate reference points, alignments, and layouts for electrical installations.
Perform survey fieldwork, including staking, topographic, and boundary surveys.
Prepare construction reference and staking data from project plan sets, including points, centerlines, and profiles.
Process and interpret survey data collected in the field.
Manage and update model information in Trimble Fieldlink.
Perform research and gather data for ongoing and future projects.
Collaborate with planners, project managers, and engineers regarding projects.
Maintain organization of Trimble equipment and tools.
Perform additional functions as necessary or assigned to support the project team.

What You Will Bring:

Preferred - Associate degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or CAD Drafting.
1 2 years of Surveyor experience.
Experience with Trimble Robotic Total Station (RTS) or similar Trimble survey equipment, including setup, operation, and data integration for construction layout tasks.
Expertise in field surveying procedures and equipment.
Strong ability to read and interpret construction plans and general construction principles.
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Exceptional time-management, planning, and organizational skills.
A high level of energy, self-motivation, and flexibility.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
Proven ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a team.
Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.
Creative problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
A strong work ethic and a professional, positive attitude.

What You Will Experience:

Work in both office and field environments, including construction sites, with exposure to various weather conditions.
Travel as needed to local job sites.
Wear PPE (hard hats, safety glasses, reflective vests, and work boots) for extended periods.
Perform physical tasks such as repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movements, grasping, pushing.
Occasionally move objects of 15 lbs, and up to 45 65 lbs periodically.
Work may also be performed in an office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: sit for long periods of time; use computer to enter data; use telephone to converse with customers and employees.
