Assists the Pharmacist by filing physician prescriptions for medications for oral, rectal, topical, and injectable use.
Always works under the supervision of a Pharmacist.
Enters patient demographic and insurance information into the computer system.
Enters prescriptions onto patient profiles.
Assists in performing point-of-care testing including but not limited to strep, flu, UTI, COVID, etc.
Performs inventory audits and checks for outdated and recalled medication/medical supplies, etc.
Checks patients out at the cash register.
Keeps Pharmacy clean, neat, and organized.
Customer service according to the Healing Model.
Job Requirements:
High School graduate or equivalent.
Graduate of a certified Pharmacy Technician Program.
Education in all age groups ranging from newborn to the geriatric population obtained either in school education or subsequent training.
Current Pharmacy Technician License in the state of Utah.
