Job Title: Data and Systems Analyst

Position Overview:

As a Data and Systems Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products and work directly with customers to identify functional and technical requirements. The candidate should have a strong background and work experience in data migration projects, experience in insurance claims and processing, have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and be able to communicate technical concepts to non-technical project team members. Experience working in software modernization projects is a plus. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including senior developers, project managers, product managers, and customers, to use software development best practices, understand requirements and develop technical and functional requirements to modernize existing applications to a new technology platform.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Analyze and document the technical requirements for data migration. Analyze current database schema, data structures, data models and the target system's data needs. Document the technical requirements to enable the technical team to migrate the current data to a new application hosted in AWS

• Analyze business workflows, analyze data and data flows and document the data requirements of the target system. Perform process mapping from the current system (source) to the proposed target system.

• Analyze the supporting services and data processing services used in the business processes and the current system, such as document management, email notifications, integrations with other systems. Document the functional and technical requirements for the backend support services required by the system.

• Work with Agile project teams to identify and document the business requirements as user stories (in Jira) and conduct testing, such as functional and regression testing.

• Interpret business requirements for simplified analysis and decision-making.

• Develop test plans, test cases, and testing procedures to conduct testing throughout the entire software development lifecycle.

• Participate in the Agile/Scrum development process.

• Collaborate with architects to develop and document architecture diagrams,

• Develop and update system documentation.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics, or other related technical fields is required.

• 4+ years of experience in software development projects with data migration activities and/or system migration to the Cloud.

• Expertise in big data, cloud and other new technologies

• Experience using RDBMS such as Oracle 12c, MS SQL Server, DB2 etc

• Understanding of AWS and other cloud technologies.

• Expertise in Agile methodologies for effective application development.

• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbal and written.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment.

• Experience in QA related to data migration and/or system migration to the cloud is a plus.

• AWS Cloud practitioner certification is a plus

• Insurance and claims experience is a plus.
