__ Discovery Senior Living is now the 9th largest senior housing operator with the addition of our new division in Texas Morada Senior Living.
We have tremendous opportunities for proven leaders to join in our success Morada Senior Living is hiring for a Companion (Homemaker/Sitter) for our community.
The Companion position is responsible for performing tasks that enable the client to remain in the home by supplementing the clients abilities for home management.
Responsibilities include:
Assists clients in non-personal, non-nursing self-care activities.
Provides homemaking services for the ill, injured, impaired, disabled or aged.
Observes the client for changes in general physical and mental conditions.
Reports any changes to the care coordinator or supervisor.
Keeps the home clean and orderly.
Plans meals and purchases food and household supplies, as appropriate.
Prepares and serves nutritious meals according to the clients needs and clients services delivery plan.
Washes dishes and clean the kitchen after meals.
Assist the client and caregiver in the practice of safety, hygiene and good nutrition where possible.
Does clients laundry.
Adheres to the documentation of care procedures, standards of personal and professional conduct.
All other duties that are assigned Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous companion/homemaker experience preferred.
Is at least eighteen years of age.
Successfully complete the companion/homemaker competency evaluation Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and organization requirements and is in good working order OR must maintain a safe and efficient method of transportation aimed at arriving to work as scheduled.
