Toyoda Gosei Texas is looking for a dynamic and qualified Quality Engineer/Auditor to join our phenomenal team of professionals in South San Antonio!
JOB SUMMARY: The individual in this role will:
* Develop, implement and maintain Quality management systems & procedures in order to achieve and exceed customer expectations
* Participate and facilitate a multi functional team in the identification and resolution of Mfg., Quality & safety issues.
* Interface effectively and build an excellent internal and external customer relationships
RESPONSIBILITIES: * Coordinate and assist with internal audits per QMS to ensure applicable ISO standards * Conduct daily monitoring of document updates and controls
* Develop Quality documents as part Inspection standards, Manufacturing Quality Charts, PFMEA's, Work Instructions, 1PTQC's. Ensure updated documents are controlled and maintained
* Lead "5 Why's" meetings for defects
* Lead communication with customers/suppliers during claims
* Prepare and provide product assurance documentation as required by customer
* Create and maintain problem follow up sheets based on results of 5 whys meetings/audits
* Create a smooth professional relationship with customer based honesty and trust
* Coordinate calibration of equipment and maintains calibration log * Maintain internal/external quality EHS audit records and escalates any issues in a timely manner *Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
* Bachelor Degree in Engineering and/or 5 years of directly related experience
* Possess strong analytical/problem solving techniques
* Be flexible to shifts to support production and customer needs
* Experience with Toyota SQAM preferred
* Toyota Production system experience preferred
* Possess a team work attitude and approach to daily challenges
* Practical knowledge of TS16949, ISO 9000, QS 9000, ISO14001 requirements, etc.
* Must be computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office software
Other
* ISO Auditor Certification a big plus * IATF Certification a big plus
Working Conditions
* Position is for day shift with the possibility of working Saturdays to support Production as needed
* Flexible hours to validate and ensure proper implementation of process changes
* 20% of overnight travel
* Fast pace manufacturing environment
* Exposure with Injection molding, paint and assembly process
* Able to support customer concerns performing visits on-site as required
