Quality Department Team Member - Job Summary
The individual in this role will be tasked to ensure all products manufactured in our facility comply with customer requirements by visual, mating, testing and measuring inspection. All inspections results must be documented. This person will also maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures.
Responsibilities
• Inspects and approves in-process products and finished goods (F-M-L) by confirming specifications, visual and measurement tests.
• Initiate Non-conformance material reports to request countermeasures to Production leaders
• Confirm containment activities on NCR's issued during shift
• Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs; summarizing NCR's sort results and updating Quality boards and FML logs
• Continuously perform part and process audits in assigned production area, document results
• Support containment activities on 4M and at customer facility
• Other projects and assignments as requested by the QE and/or management team
Qualifications
• Good language skills and able to communicate
• Detailed oriented with analytical skills
• Able to use basic inspection tools: ruler, caliper, micrometer and other measurement devices, etc
• Basic blueprint reading capabilities
• Strong math skills. (English and Metric system)
• Teamwork mind set
Working Conditions
• Must be able to work in the manufacturing floor 100% of the time
• Able to use Protective Equipment according with the safety requirements for each area
• Able to work in heavy traffic areas
• Able to work in hot and humid conditions
• Able to work in noisy areas were hearing protective equipment is required.
• Able to work with chemicals
• Able to work with machinery
