Fleet Manager

Company Overview:

RideShare Carz is a dynamic and rapidly growing vehicle rental company specializing in providing high-quality vehicles to rideshare drivers. With short-term plans to expand beyond Texas in 2025, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Fleet Manager to join our team and oversee the operations of our fleet from Dallas, Texas.

Position Summary:

The Fleet Manager will be responsible for managing the lifecycle of vehicles within our fleet, ensuring they are properly maintained, quickly repaired, and consistently ready for rental. This role requires a candidate with extensive experience managing large-scale fleet operations and a hands-on approach to problem-solving. Key Responsibilities:

Fleet Operations Management:

• Oversee the full lifecycle of vehicles in the fleet, ensuring quick turnaround times from repair to "ready to rent" status.
• Monitor vehicles in repair status, maintain detailed records, and provide accurate ETAs for getting them back in the sales line.

Maintenance and Repair Coordination:

• Organize and manage 28-day inspections for all vehicles to ensure compliance and operational readiness.
• Schedule and coordinate general maintenance and repairs, including equipment setup in vehicles as needed.
• Follow up on bodywork and other specialized repairs to minimize downtime.

Vendor Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong partnerships with vendors, including car washes, repair shops, and detailers across multiple cities.
• Negotiate contracts with management and ensure vendor services meet quality and timeline standards.

Process Development:

• Create and implement processes to streamline fleet readiness, ensuring vehicles are transitioned into the "ready to rent" line as efficiently as possible.

Communication and Reporting:

• Set up consistent weekly communication channels with branch teams and management to provide updates on fleet status, repair progress, and operational metrics.
• Prepare reports and analyze fleet performance to identify opportunities for improvement.

Strategic Planning:

• Contribute to the company's growth by supporting fleet expansion plans for new locations outside Texas in 2025.

Required Qualifications:

• Proven experience managing large-scale fleet operations, preferably in the rideshare, rental, or transportation industry.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, repair processes, and inspection requirements.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to build trust and accountability within a growing team and across vendor relationships.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to adapt to the needs of a fast-paced, evolving company.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a small to mid-sized company or startup environment.
• Familiarity with fleet management software and tools.
• Knowledge of the Texas market and its transportation infrastructure.
