Construction Project Scheduler using Asta Powerproject or Primavera P6

Crossland is looking for a person with advanced experience in Asta Powerproject and/or Primavera P6 scheduling program(s), along with strong building and field experience. This person will be an immediate company presence for a portion of projects throughout the company. They will provide leadership, support, and training per Crosslands policies and procedures, participate in all aspects of the construction planning and scheduling, and bring complete unity and assurance so all projects have great schedules. Schedules will have detail, sequence, logic, accuracy, and communication to help ensure all projects stay on track, finish on time, and with a profit.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist with creating, updating, and implementing project schedules collaboratively with the project team.
Provide leadership, direction, and support for Crosslands scheduling efforts
Perform schedule reviews. Ensure the company procedures and guidelines are adhered to
Participate in all phases of the construction planning and scheduling process. Proposal schedules, CPM schedules, baseline schedules and ongoing schedule updates.
Ensure the project schedules adhere to the contractual requirements.
Make regular visits to job sites, to review job status
Attend project related meeting or job site meeting when the emphasis is on the schedule.
Lead an update review meeting with the project team, ensuring all items that have or may have a negative impact on the project are properly documented with-in the schedule.
Construction and scheduling program support and training for assigned divisions and job site staff.
Good grasp of the local market information. Seasonal weather patterns, materials, labor forces and other factors that may impact a project's schedule.
Complete knowledge and experience for Cost Loading and Resource Loading schedules
Be prepared to share alternate work plans and methods of construction to mitigate impacts and delays.
Ensure that all projects have a 'Baseline' schedule established prior to construction, and continue to create Baseline snapshots weekly
See to it that all project schedules are utilizing Crosslands uniform template, then customizing it to the project's specific needs.
Work with Marketing, Estimating, and the Pre-Construction Departments to prepare and finalize proposal schedules.
Ability to perform a detailed critical path analysis for problem projects
Perform weekly progress updates, while monitoring and tracking progress at a detailed and summary level.
Ability to communicate knowledgably and effectively with all field staff, office staff, design teams and clients to ensure efficient and accurate schedule development and updates.
Identify and communicate schedule risks to Area Superintendents and Division Managers
Analyze potential impacts, deliveries, change orders, time extensions, etc. through the proper use of coding, labeling, and creating fragnets and/or time impact analysis.

Qualifications

Advanced experience with Asta Powerproject and/or Primavera P6
5+ years' experience in project controls and CPM scheduling of 'Building' construction, Preferred.
7+ years' experience in 'building' construction
Knowledge of building construction, means and methods, materials, systems, market conditions and trade practices
Ability to read and understand building plans, drawings and specifications
Knowledge of means and methods of Construction Management
Proficient with computer applications
Proficient in developing resource loading, cost loading
Proficient in analyzing and reporting on project schedules
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
Knowledge to visually see discrepancies and inaccuracies between the project schedule and job site status.
During job site visits, have the ability to see areas of sequencing concern and where sequencing improvements could occur
Knowledge of the different delivery methods of construction
Knowledge of Work Breakdown Structure, Work Activity Sequencing, Activity Durations, Scheduling Concepts and Best Practices
