Position Description:

CGI has an immediate need for a Sr. AWS Java Full Stack Developer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced team environment supporting one of the largest customer. We take an innovative approach to supporting our client, working side-by-side in an agile environment using emerging technologies.

This position requires 2 DAYS a week work from local CGI office based in central and eastern time zone in the U. S, preferred location is Reston, VA, Plano, TX, or Columbia, SC Knoxville, TN.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

We are seeking a strong senior Java AWS Developer to join our team.

Experience in full life cycle application/system development.

Experience developing in distributed application environments (Database, Transaction Management).

Experience writing conceptual and detailed design documents and developing large scale enterprise applications following an Agile execution model.

Experience with Application integrations (SOAP/REST Web Services, ESB, JMS, File/Data transfers, etc. ).

Familiar with GIT repositories (Bit Bucket) and Agile Methodology/SCRUM/Kanban/UCD, Terraform, Docker/Container basics.

Source Code Control/Feature Branching/CICD Pipeline Basics, Version Control.

Experience with Jenkins and GIT Foundational.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Proficient in designing & developing Java based architecture.

8 years of experience in SDLC, with a strong understanding of Event-driven and asynchronous programming concepts.

7-8 years of Hands-On Experience with:

Microservices

File I/O operations handling

Java 17+

Spring Boot


Docker

AWS (ECS, Cloudwatch, EB, EC2, CF templates, Appmesh, CloudMap, lambda, DynamoDB, RDS etc. )

Oracle DB.

Required 1 to 2 years Python development experience.

Junit



Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U. S. is $84,000. 00 - $().
