Our client, a leader in the chemical process industry, is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Process Engineer, you will be part of the engineering department supporting various project teams. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, a collaborative mindset, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Senior Process Engineer

Location: Pasadena, Texas

What's the Job?

Manage projects including the development of bid packages, review of drawings, oversight of contractors, budgeting, and scheduling.
Develop individual project requirements based on local and corporate input, focusing on cost savings and increased uptime.
Create material and energy balances, and size and specify equipment, piping, and valves for existing processes and new projects.
Lead commissioning activities related to new installations and collaborate with production and maintenance personnel to troubleshoot technical issues.
Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards, including PSM and environmental regulations.

What's Needed?

A degree in Chemical Engineering.
Relevant capital project experience in the chemical process industry, particularly with solids handling.
Experience in engineering processes handling flammable and combustible liquids.
Familiarity with instrumentation and control systems, such as Yokogawa VP.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and construction oversight.
